Endezzma: Erotik nekrosis
14/01/13 || gk
This is the debut album from Norway’s Endezzma and looking at metal-archives, it seems the band has a long and convoluted history. Leaving that aside, what we have here is some pretty interesting black metal. The band mixes traditional black metal with symphonic/ melodic elements and hints of black ‘n roll. The result is an album that is always interesting and even if the combination sounds like a recipe for disaster, the band manage to pull it off for the most part. The vocals have character and there are enough interesting riffs and individual parts to make Erotik nekrosis an always interesting listen. Not everything works though and the album doesn’t really have the legs to last the distance and gets a bit boring as it goes on. Still, this is a pretty promising debut and genre fans would probably want to check this out.
7/10: A promising debut.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
